Jen Chen Buddhism

Sakyamuni Buddha came to this world more than 2,500 years ago. He remained in this world for 81 years and expounded on the Dharma for forty-nine years. During the period, by expedient means he preached the five vehicles in Buddhism, namely the Humanity Vehicle (it has the same definition as the words "Jen Chen" in Chinese), Heavenly Vehicle, the Sravaka Vehicle, the Paryeka-Buddha Vehicle and the Bodhisattva Vehicle.

Jen Chen Buddhism is the Buddhism of Humanity Vehicle that teaches people how to achieve enlightenment, inspire wisdom, pursue liberation, and practice Bodhisattva’s path. The Five Precepts, Ten Meritorious Deeds, Four All-Embracing Virtues, and Six Perfections help human beings to improve behaviors, purify the mind, bring about stability in society, and attain blissful and bright lives. Mankind can, therefore, follow the path of Buddhism and ultimately attain Buddhahood.

The principles of Jen Chen Buddhism are compatible with the needs of our modern societies. Venerable Shen Kai, the leader of World Jen Chen Buddhism, advocates the application of Buddhist teaching in our daily lives so that Buddhist principles can be understood, embraced and practiced by all human beings with the aim of creating a bright and happy life.

The objectives of
World Jen Chen Buddhism
are as follows:
